![]() Contact Us for Details. Vitals: The Oak Room is at 9882 W Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, at Westpark Village next to the Westchase YMCA, and can be reached at:(813) 926-6746. Open Monday - Saturday from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. Major credit cards are accepted, and it's wheelchair accessible. Althrough smoking is permitted, we have recently installed Heavy Duty air cleaning equiptment, so the air is clean. The Spot: The Oak Room is almost literally an oak room. Dense hardwood furniture, wine racks and trim are throughout. Moss Green and mustard walls soften up the feel of the place. Three high-definition flat-screen TVs hang over the bar, or enjoy the brick patio. The Crowd: The birth dates dip a little younger as the night rages on. Around Midnight, the average age ranges from late 30s - 60s to mid-to-late 20-somethings. Patrons dress conservatively, well-heeled and lots of Ralph Lauren. If you show up in Piercing's and a bad brain T-shirt, you will feel amusingly out of place. That's not to say its stuffy. It feels like a neighborhood bar, with guys watching games and their wives gossiping off on their own as their husbands bring them martinis. Young couples and singles mix easily to hang with friends. The Tunes: When Eddie isn't playing his piano jazz and pop standards, soft rock pipes in from the bars impressive sound system. Just as the age gets younger with the hour, so does the music. Jazz yields to classic rock and then to modern rock and dance. The Bartenders: All female, attractive and dressed in super-sleek black outfits. The Juice: Martinis are the name of the game here. Try the decadent chocolate martini with Hershey's syrup lining the glass, or the zippy Key Lime. The Ultimate Cosmo has Citron vodka, Cointreau and lime and cranberry juice. A nice variety of wines from California is available. Food: None, but the bartenders will call in orders to one of the neighborhood businesses to have food delivered or picked up. |
